u just have to post quality content (at least 6 mins long) consistently
it'll be like a year before you see any real results so it depends on your patience

Making exploit vids is the cheap way to go and will result in your channel making exploit vids and only exploit vids whether you like it or not. Because that will be all your subscribers know your channel for.
I would recommend you actually make quality videos and then it gives you more grounds for promoting the vids. Crappost channels tend to have one or two videos that blow up and then the channel dies. Also, making vids on a less oversaturated genre has less competition. For example, there are far less edutainment channels compared to the sea of gaming channels.

Idk the best way, but here are tips:
Good quality audio, good quality production, consistent at least weekly posting, and content worth watching. Go for less and it gets more difficult to build a relationship with your audience.
Build views with clickbaity but relevant titles. Same for thumbnails.
YouTube praises high interaction. Encouraging likes and comments are good. Watch time is considered interaction. More watch time is better, which you can inflate with longer videos. There is a balance though. Too long and viewers start to leave, which is considered by the algorithm.
A channel's first 1000 subs is usually the slowest. With patience and consistency, everything can pick up.
