My 12 year old cousin, Julia, recently broke up with his 13 year old boyfriend. She was heart-broken, yes, it's stupid but she really loved him. You might say, that love at this age doesn't really matter. But in my opinion, love is important in every stage of life. Back to the story - he recently broke up with her, because he got together with Julia's best friend. F*cked up. So she asked me to make her a fake account so that she can talk with him. He said that he broke up with Julia because he was together with her just for fun, and he's together with her best friend also just for fun. He's a dipsh*t. I read all of his texts with the fake account. I was actually shocked. I plan meeting up with my cousin and we will both meet that guy. I wanna see his reaction.

 

I just wanted to say, that this generation is f*cked up.

Althought that is essentially f*cked up this is a prime moment to teach her that no man is worth chasing, that its a sad part of the dating world. She as an semi-independent woman to the dating world can be just fine and move on. And the best way to combat that negativity is not to engage with him. Tell her work on loving herself and meeting new people. When she finds the right one and shes happy he may notice and regret letting such a wonderful young woman be treated the way he treated her. She can always throw a "sorry you missed out" in there if the chance comes because thats a real kick in the gut. Both are at an age where they are curious about the dating world but are also so young to understand the level of maturity that comes with it. never confront its always a harder blow to simply "one up" and show your better than stooping to the other persons level.

(note I am a 26 yr old woman and its always how ive retorted to the men who didn't know what they had til i was already gone)

I think you got it wrong, my friend. This isn't about me or my girlfriend, it's about my cousin and her ex. And I'm not throwing this problem at the whole generation just because of one boy, but also on much other 10-12 year olds that swear every sentence, don't obey teachers, don't give a sh*t about school or their parents. If you'd see what I see, you would understand why I wrote this post.

As I mentioned before, this is not a story about me and I am NOT 12. But yes, there are some people similar age (13-15) that might make a relationship survive till 18+.
