A sincere apology.

I've been in this community for a few months, never have I expected to be sitting down past midnight writing this thread but here we are I guess.

As you all may know, I've received quite a bit of controversy and hate recently based off of one thread: a thread about rep.

 

If I'm being completely honest, that thread was made not to cry or beg about rep, but to improve my relations with a few people who I had conflict with previously. Sadly, that one rep ended up creating this huge situation, one I never meant to happen.

 

Through the past three days, I have received quite a lot of hate and controversy in servers like WHD, along with a large amount of neg rep, some from those I considered to be nice people. However, I'm not here to talk about rep or anything like that, I'm here to apologize.

To start, I have been accused of spreading false and incorrect information multiple times, to which I say: you're right. There are certainly times where I have spread false and incorrect information, whether this be accidentally or purposely. I have no reason to argue as I know for a fact that it is true, and that arguing it would be lying to myself and others. Even though I previously argued against it, at that time I did not see the situation in it's full, and I couldn't see the points of others the way I do now. I deeply apologize for this, I have never tried to give false information, but I am no perfect person, and I'm still improving myself everyday.

 

Next, I have been accused of speaking in subjects/topics I am not familiar with, and again, this is true. There are evidently times where I have spoken in subjects where I am not familiar with. Truthfully, I came into this community trying to be as helpful as I could, and this motivation has stuck with me until the end. With that being said, I try to be helpful even in subjects I am not familiar with, and as you all know this was something that eventually led to controversy. I take a much more cautious approach now when it comes to subjects I am not familiar with, and this will stick with me until the end just like my motivation to be helpful. I deeply apologize for speaking unknowledgeable in topics, and I thank everyone who has showed me my ignorant replies to allow me to improve off of them.

 

Next, I have been accused of sharing useless ideas. Again, this is true. My personal ego got in the way of me trying to provide good ideas to WRD, but sadly failing and resulting in useless ideas (such as asking for more categories). Looking back at my ideas now I realize how stupid they were, and why people got frustrated at me over those. I deeply apologize for my useless ideas, and again I thank everyone who showed me how useless these ideas were and allowed me to improve off of them.

 

Next, I have been accused of complaining, crying about, begging, and prioritizing rep over everything else. In some ways, this is true. My personal ego made me care about my rep and what people thought of me more than other things, and this got in the way with my relations and trust with other people. Although I don't consider myself to have begged over rep, I did complain over rep hoping to improve my relations with people but instead only worsened them for the most part. I deeply apologize for my ignorant behavior when it comes to rep, and I appreciate everyone for helping me to understand how ignorant I was.

 

Next, I have been privately accused of skidding a printsploit. I would like to protect the privacy of those who accused me of this, so I will not be providing names or anything like that, however due to similarities my source had with other sources, people within a private group-chat did end up accusing me of skidding. I can sincerely say that I did not skid, and have not skidded anything in my life. If the people who accused me decide to post anything relating to the source I made compared to others, I can swear on my life I made it myself. The only things I can confirm to be true are the fact my code was bad, and also that I used multiple printsploit sources as reference. Here is the code that was specifically thought to be skidded:

This is pretty common code used in essentially every printsploit source I've seen, so I don't understand what specifically strikes this as skidded.

Upon checking the code, I can confirm they were actually extremely similar, however I will do anything in my power to prove that it's not skidded. If anyone has ideas on how I can prove it's not skidded, please let me know.

 

Lastly, I have been accused of being generally not smart. As much as I hate to... hate on myself I guess, this is partially true. Again, my personal ego and everything I had caused me to go into things unprepared and as a result, seem dumb (aka not smart). I can't really apologize for this, although I can say it was my fault. I did things I wasn't prepared for, and it had it's consequences.

The short last three days, I've changed so much to a point where looking back at myself before this situation, I realize how ignorant, dumb, unprepared, and other things I was. I feel that I've changed for the better now, and truthfully I'm still learning about myself, along with programming in languages like Lua, C#, C++ and more. I deeply hope you will all be able to understand and accept my sincere apologies.
