Is it actually possible to HWID ban someone from a website? I was wondering because there are a lot of websites that say they would HWID ban someone from their website if they break a certain rule but that didn't seem logical to me since HWIDs are only used in applications. Correct me if im wrong.

Impossible, a browser doesnt do HWID, only does IP.

HWIDs can only be retrieved from the client.

And even if the server requested the client to do it, it wouldnt do it because of security browsers have done to prevent servers from executing code like the you are an idiot virus that was JavaScript based and ran off a vulnrubility in IE.

What im saying is the HWID is on the client.

The server cannot ask the client for it.

The server cannot execute on behalf of the client as that'd be a security flaw

Therefore its impossible to get on browser

@unspe52 well yes then that makes sense, but if were talking about web page wise then I've never heard the use of hwid. But if its something to do with the launcher an actuall program then yes it makes sense. That's how dove does its blacklisting and other exploits.

HWID Website Ban? What?
I think you mean IP Bans, I don't think websites can even get your HWID unless you open some sort of program from them, like lets take ROBLOX for this example:
They can't get your HWID from the Website unless you open Roblox or Roblox Studio.
Does that make sense? I don't think it does but it's the best I can explain it.
