So, here's the old thread if you don't know about PART 1: https://forum.wearedevs.net/t/30021

I did my best to remove the miner from my PC which worked but the miner/malware has already done the damage.

The windows update service is corrupted & it won't update.

UPDATE

-------------

I've been observing the malware's damages. To be honest, I'm not sure if I've 100% removed it or not.

IF the internet is turned on when the computer boots, the taskbar does not load for about 5-10 minutes.

But if the internet is turned off when the computer boots, the taskbar loads instantly after boot.

This info might be useful, I'm not sure though.

Any help/suggestion is appreciated.

@89215 It's pretty old.

Intel HD Graphics & an i5. With 16 gigs of ram.

It's more than enough to run Win 10 & more.

Before the malware attacked, it was running fine.

Yeah, I'm gonna re-install windows.

it probably infected some part of the system, try booting on a external USB (HDD or SSD) and see if it works

if it doesn't then its infected something with System internally

It most likely infected WiFi, quite frankly any hardware. I recommend doing a fresh installation of Windows 10. Well, you should've of do that long time ago to avoid any more damage.

I would highly consider reinstalling Windows or switching to Linux. While it may suck, it's better than having to remove all that stuff manually.

and miner = gone

but same, its also done some damage

now real-time protection is forced on cuz I cant open windows security and that means

I cant exploit

I've moved to my old Compaq laptop (the one with 3% rating that  I'm using rn)

@marcus__ You can use Windows Defender Control to turn it off. If you did not know, It's a program that turns off windows defender for you.

ngl, id recommends installing Windows 10 LTSC IoT edition. Less bloat and no major feature updates to change everything.
