[Question] Which one of these two GPUs should I buy for gaming + editing

@Vader It isn't really slow. I have a GTX 1050 myself and it works pretty well.

If the choice is solely between the two GPUs listed, i'd pick the RX 570 for the extra bit of performance. However, personally, I would wait for intel to refine their drivers (which could take a year or so) or save for a few months and buy a high-end 30 series or an entry-level 40 series Nvidia/entry/mid AMD card.

While Intel ark is promising, its driver issues really handicap it for now.

no
I'm gonna assume you were talking about the 970 and just mistyped, and in that case, yes.
@VoidableMethod
The GTX 1050 gets outperformed by the 970 in benchmarks, refer to:

Oh good heavens the amount of garbage userbenchmark posts.
The RX 570 is a better buy in (almost) every conceivable way:
1. Polaris features better encoding than Maxwell does, with the addition of HW H265,
2. Much newer card - longer support in terms of drivers,
3. Better performance in games,
4. RSR and FSR upscaling support (I've heard, despite Polaris' lack of dedicated cores).
Then again, might want to re-evaluate what kind of card you can get for your budget, which is I assume around $100 US, no reason to just stick to the first two options you find.
