Nexus42 got -repped for no reason, in this thread, I will be debunking every accusation against Wine (unless they're real).
Logging:
- username: Not sure if they mean discord username or PC name, but yes, it logs ur discord username, the EULA literally states that
- Machine name: not sure, will come to it
- Windows version: whats the issue with logging this? bruh
- "Unhashed" HWIDs: bruh moment, he says in the EULA that he's logging them, also HWIDs dont need to be hashed, theyre used as a fingerprint anyway
- IPs: now thats funny, it was a local IP, meaning it doesnt even matter, local IPs can change easily, and they arent personal information at all. with a local IP you cant do anything to anyone unless ur in the same local network as them
- Discord tokens: NO HES NOT LOGGING THEM, hes just using them to get your username
deleting system32: now that was a big mistake, but cant find anything
token grabber just for getting username on discord, the token isnt being logged
IP's as i said before were not public they were local

correction, he doesnt use your token just for username. Getting usernames doesnt even require a token or access to the account.
Im not sure what exactly he uses them for but its still bad practice.
Putting my opinions on Nexus aside, Users shouldn't trust Wine or any other of his products as of now until he learns how to protect and secure his code and users information properly. He should also look into alternatives that dont require grabbing/logging user info.
Also for those of you saying I rep fu*ked Nexus, the only thing I did was show one of my dev gc some of the suspicious code inside of Wine. I never told or forced anyone to just straight go out and expose him like that without looking into it further.
Although I have bad thoughts on Nexus because his code is quite bad and he has even talked about ratting me before, I didn't intend to drop his rep by that much and start all this drama, I am sorry for that Nexus.

@Ducxy how would you get the discord username then? the token logger was just used for the username btw, no malicious intent on that, but if theres any other way, it would be cool. what does dove do to get the discord username?

Discord RPC allows you to get any "public" information on a user. Basically the same concept as using a whois bot command.
