[REL] BetterWRD — Adds tons of features and bug fixes to WRD!

BetterWRD

A chromium extension developed to improve the user's experience on WRD.

The extension is now available for FIrefox as well!

INFORMATION

• This extension adds features such as Post Drafts, Dark Theme and Spellchecker for the Text Editor, Dark Theme Code blocks, Custom thread prefixes, Background images & more!

• It is fully open-source and is on GitHub.

• This was my first ever extension that I made, also my first time making something big with Javascript, so don't expect the code to be perfect.

• I've made a discord server where you can create tickets to report bugs if there are any.

• There will be many updates in the future adding new features and possible WRD bug fixes, so stay tuned!

FEATURES / BUG FIXES LIST

• Post Drafts

• Complete Night Theme with Dark scrollbars, textboxes, dropdowns and more

• Use bright theme navbar gradient while using night theme

• Dark Theme Text editor

• Dark Theme Code blocks

• Custom thread prefixes

• Transparent profile picture backgrounds (default is gray)

• Replace WeAreDevs text with WRD logo in navbar

• Put 'Next' and 'Prev' on top of threads as well

• Text Editor Spellcheck

• Number textbox to navigate to a specific thread page with ease

• Gray out threads that you've already read

• Remove all caps usernames for users that have Premium

• Bigger mention button on replies

• FIX: Page Not Found Error on refresh

• FIX: V3rmillion social link redirects to your own V3rm profile

DOWNLOAD TUTORIAL

This is for those who don't know how to install external extensions.

First, go to the latest release GitHub link (this) and download BetterWRD.zip.

Then, go to chrome:extensions and enable Developer mode (in the top right corner).

After that, drag and drop BetterWRD.zip (the file you downloaded) on the Extensions page.

Lastly, go to WRD and enjoy using the extension!

FAQ

Q: Is this safe?

A: Yes it is very safe. It's open source and the zip file literally contains the source code.

Q: Can I use this in combination with WRD+?

A: Yes! it will make WRD 1000 times better!

Q: Which browsers does this work on?

A: Every browser that is based on Chromium. Basically Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Ungoogled Chromium probably and others.

Q: Would this slow down the loading time of WRD and/or use more RAM?

A: From what I've tested, it doesn't seem like it slows down anything nor does it use any considerable amount of RAM in difference of with/without it.
