The changes we're expecting to be rolled out this week are:

1. Software & Hardware category - Already implemented but lacking support for in mod menus
2. Pinned threads
3. Perhaps other bugfixes such as UI issues with thread locking or profile latest post delays

It doesn't mean that Jon is necessarily coming back, it took us (Allennova, Monkey D. Luffy, Me, Funtimes) about an hour or even more to convince him to roll out an update on the site...
